If you need a custom Lotto wheel . . . go ahead and make one!
Your built-in Professional Wheeling programs give you a variety of options for making Lotto wheels. You can make wheels completely automatically.
You can create Full wheels, Abbreviated, and Key number wheels. You can also make wheels that contain various Zones of numbers.
It's a wheel that puts your numbers together in different groups, called 'Zones'. If you match a group's numbers in a specific way, you'll have a specific prize. Or if you match numbers from different groups, you'll have various other kinds of prizes. For example, you can play your high priority numbers in one Zone. The wheel can match the Jackpot if you match those numbers. Put additional numbers into another Zone, and you can have the second prize if you match those numbers. Or, if you don't get a perfect match in each Zone, the overall wheel can still give you smaller 'consolation' prizes.
You could always play three separate wheels to get the same kind of matching as in one Zone wheel. But the Zone wheel gives you advantages: (1) It's a single, unified wheel. have better control over your numbers and your playing cost -- you don't need to check for duplicate combinations -- there aren't any. (2) You can play it, filter, and print it just once -- and if you're printing your playslips with Lottery Director, you print them as one simple operation. (3) It's easier to check for winning numbers after the draw.Zone wheels are a very interesting alternative to the more standard types of wheels. They can be economical, yet they can provide strong guarantees. You can generate them automatically with your Professional Wheeling programs. They're a standard, built-in part of Lottery Director.
In Professional Wheeling, you have two methods for generating Zone wheels automatically.
We'll examine the first method here.
- With your 'Make a Zone Numbers Wheel' program.
- With your 'Generate Wheel Automatically' or 'Make Large Linked Wheels' program.
Start your 'Make a Zone Numbers Wheel' program, and select a wheel name. Input the information about how you want the wheel to work. With this method, your wheel will always have three Zones. For example, you can make a Pick-6, 18-number wheel.
- Your First Zone will be a 'Key Numbers' zone. You must match ALL of the numbers in this zone, for the wheel to meet its guarantee. (There are ways to eliminate this Zone -- we'll describe them in another tip.)
- Your Second Zone will be an 'Alternate Numbers' zone. You can match ANY ONE of the numbers in this zone, for the wheel to meet its guarantee. (If you happen to match two or more numbers, you can have multiple wins.)
- Your Third Zone will be a 'Full Numbers' zone. You must match SOME DEFINED AMOUNT of the numbers from this zone, for the wheel to meet its guarantee. (How many you must match depends on how you want the wheel to work.)
Download the Wheel: This wheel is available for downloading now. It's in the Featured Wheels on your Support page.
Here's what the wheel looks like:
Key zone
(2)Alternate zone
(10)Full zone
(6)
- Zone 1 contains two (2) Key numbers.
- Zone 2 contains ten (10) Alternate numbers.
- Zone 3 contains the remaining six (6) numbers.
Here is how the wheel works for matching various prize levels. There are many other prize levels available in the wheel also.
- If you match both Keys, plus any one of the ten Alternates, plus any three of the remaining six numbers, you will have a complete Pick-6 Jackpot match.
- If you match only one Key (any one), plus any one of the ten Alternates, plus any three of the remaining six, you'll have a 5-number winner.
- If you match only one Key (any one), plus none of the Alternates, plus any three of the remaining six, you'll have ten (10) 4-number winners and ninety (90) 3-number winners.
- If you match no Key, but match any one Alternate and any three of the remaining, you'll have a 4-number winner and multiple 3-number winners.
- If you match no Key, but match any two or three Alternates, plus any three remaining, you'll have either two or three 4-number winners, and multiple 3-number winners.
- If you match no Key, but match any one, two, or three Alternates, plus any two remaining, you'll have one, two, or three 3-number winners, and so on.
